NH BROOKFIELD — Brookfield planning task force proposes updates to gravel pit regulations. The three-member task force comprising Marshall Golberg, Stephen Berry, and Mark Lofgren reviewed the Earth Excavation and Restoration Regulations against current state standards and identified mostly minor proposed changes. The task force also revised a gravel pit inspection form to include yes-or-no answers, lot-boundary documentation, and invasive-species inquiry.
The task force clarified that two active gravel pits with grandfathered status dating to 1991 reports would not require additional town permits if they remain operational and compliant with applicable requirements.
