NH BROOKFIELD — Brookfield Planning Board schedules Smith gravel pit and Master Plan public hearings. The board set a special hearing for July 6 on an intent-to-excavate from the Smith gravel pit operator, designating Stephen Berry as pit coordinator. A Master Plan public hearing is scheduled for July 13.
Board members confirmed that both the Smith and Moose Mountain gravel pits are grandfathered under pre-1991 filings. The board also approved updates to its gravel pit inspection checklist for circulation and review, with changes targeted for 2027 inspections.
