Select Board targets four ordinances for potential repeal

NH BROOKFIELD — The Select Board has identified four outdated ordinances recommended for potential repeal and reorganized town policies. Board Chair Rich Zacher led a working session focused on updating outdated ordinances and policies. The board recommended repealing the 1979 Public Nuisance and Abatement Ordinance and the 1986 Vehicle Weights Upon Brookfield Public Streets ordinance, among others, subject to a public hearing process.
The board also decided to reorganize town policies into two website categories: Town Policies for administrative matters and Personnel Policies for employee procedures. Department heads were asked to submit updated fee schedules for a comprehensive review and August public hearing.
