Selectmen authorize tax collector bank account, flag $91,520 in unpaid taxes

NH BROOKFIELD — Brookfield Selectmen authorize tax-collector bank account, flag $91,520 in unpaid property taxes. With Selectman Rich Zacher absent, Chair Ed Gauthier and Austin Fifield voted 2-0 to approve a dedicated bank account at Profile Bank for tax-collector credit card payments, with Treasurer Joanne Dolbear and two of three Select Board members authorized as signers. The tax collector simultaneously reported that 23 property owners owe $91,520.67 in unpaid 2025 taxes, fees, and penalties; owners were notified via certified letter February 13 and must pay by noon March 16 before the town files liens.
