NH BROOKFIELD — Selectmen unanimously appoint new police officer to Wakefield dispatch and town custodian. Chair Ed Gauthier and Selectmen Rich Zacher and Austin Fifield approved swear-in documentation for Justin Wix as a full-time Wakefield Police Officer authorized to patrol and serve Brookfield on a three to zero vote. In a closed executive session, the board unanimously hired Bailey Champy as custodian of Town Offices and for shoveling services; nonpublic-session minutes were sealed for one year.
Treasurer Joanne Dolbear reported the 2025 audit was complete and successful, with officials developing a Capital Assets Policy expected to strengthen the town's position for future bond needs.
