NH BROOKFIELD — Brookfield Selectmen hire custodian, approve police officer appointment. Chair Ed Gauthier led a 3-0 vote to approve the swear-in form for full-time Wakefield Police Officer Justin Wix, authorizing him to patrol and serve Brookfield. The board announced the hiring of Bailey Champy as custodian of the Town Offices following a nonpublic session held under state law to discuss public employee hiring.

Selectmen also approved creation of a new Tax Collector bank account enabling online property tax payments with no cost to the town and a 2.99 percent customer fee matching in-person rates; setup requires four to six weeks after contract signing. Treasurer Joanne Dolbear reported the 2025 audit was complete.
