Selectmen identify three ordinances needing revision or removal

NH BROOKFIELD — Brookfield Select Board examines outdated ordinances and maps revision agenda. During a June 15 working session, Select Board Chair Rich Zacher, Vice Chair Austin Fifield, and Member Jan Ledbetter identified three ordinances for corrective action: the 1979 Public Nuisance Abatement Ordinance, the 2010 Timber and Wood Cutting Regulations now superseded by state law, and the 1994 Street Numbering Ordinance replaced by local E-911 rules. The Board also reviewed potential new ordinances for private roads, Class VI town road maintenance, and Select Board Rules of Procedure.
Corrective actions are scheduled for Board discussion on June 16.
