The Board of Selectmen and Governor Wentworth Regional School District board convened January 8 for an informational meeting to clarify the school district's budgetary process and justify requests in the 2026/27 proposed budget. Selectmen Chair Ed Gauthier presided, joined by members Rich Zacher and Austin Fifield, along with GWRSD Chair Brodie Deshaies, Brookfield board member Dr.
Jim Manning, and member at large Mary Schillereff. The session drew residents and town officials; no formal decisions were made or recorded.
